Each ml contains Analgin 300mg.

Pharmacological action

Methimazole binds to thyroid peroxidase and thereby inhibits the conversion of iodide to iodine. Thyroid peroxidase normally converts iodide to iodine (via hydrogen peroxide as a cofactor) and also catalyzes the incorporation of the resulting iodide molecule onto both the 3 and/or 5 positions of the phenol rings of tyrosines found in thyroglobulin. Thyroglobulin is degraded to produce thyroxine (T4) and tri-iodothyronine (T3), which are the main hormones produced by the thyroid gland. So methimazole effectively inhibits the production of new thyroid hormones.

Indication:

Antipyretic, antalgic agent. Treatment for muscular pain, rheumatism, fever diseases and hernial pain.

It has strong fever relieving effects, anti-inflammatory effect and strong analgesic effect. It can be used for enterospasm, intestines expanding and stomachache.

Dosage and Administration:

Intramuscular administration:

Equine,cattle: 15-50ml. Goat, sheep:5-10ml.

Dog: 1.5-3ml.

Withdrawal Time:

Sheep and cattle meat: 28 days, milk 7 days.

Precautions:

1.Not suitable for injection in acupuncture point, especially for joint site.

2.Don’t combine with chloropromazine for prevent the acute descend of body temperature.

3.Don’t combine with barbiturates and phenylbutasone.

Storage Condition:

Tightly sealed, Store below 25°C and avoid light.
